Bringing an Older Computer to Campus: Some students begin their careers at the University using an older computer, perhaps a "hand-me-down" from an older sibling of from a parent's office. Because computing applications used throughout the curriculum demand faster systems and more memory and disk storage every year, most students who begin their academic life with an older computer will need to buy a new computer during their University career.
If you do bring an older computer to campus, you must be aware that your computer may not be able to take full advantage of the University's network or computing capabilities. Further, our staff will not be able to help you if your system does not meet these minimum requirements:
